Foundation Rudolf Brand – Helmut Schöler donates another €50,000 for emergency care
Wertheim. On December 4, Dr. Christoph Schöler, Chairman of the Administrative Board and Executive Director of the Brand Group, presented a donation of €50,000 to the Förderverein Bürgerspital Wertheim e.V. (Wertheim Citizens' Hospital Support Association), represented by its chairman Klaus Thoma, mayor of Kreuzwertheim, and treasurer Axel Wältz. The donation was made through the Foundation Rudolf Brand – Helmut Schöler gGmbH, of which Dr. Schöler is a trustee and managing director. It is intended to help secure the continued operation of the Bürgerspital's emergency care services, which are currently running at a loss. The foundation had already made a contribution towards the start-up financing of the Bürgerspital's emergency care services last April.
“We want to continue our commitment to maintaining qualified emergency care in Wertheim,” explained Dr. Schöler at the handover. “We are based and rooted in Wertheim. That's why this is a matter close to our hearts. That's why our foundation, whose charitable work is made possible primarily by donations from the shareholders of the Brand Group, is once again getting involved.”
The Brand Group, comprising the companies BRAND, VACUUBRAND, VITLAB, and BRAND INTERNATIONAL, employs around 1,000 people worldwide. It develops, manufactures, and distributes laboratory equipment, vacuum pumps, and vacuum systems.
“We are very pleased about the foundation's exemplary commitment,” said Klaus Thoma, mayor of Kreuzwertheim and chairman of the Bürgerspital Wertheim support association. “The donation will benefit the Bürgerspital Wertheim 100% and is a significant contribution. It helps us to finance the deficit operation of emergency care, especially now in the start-up phase.”
